Rigby to Host Concealed Carry Seminar

April 22, 2026

HARRISBURG – State Rep Jim Rigby (R-Cambria/Somerset) is simply addressing a need.

“Pennsylvania has now eclipsed the 1.6 million mark in concealed carry permits issued to residents,” he said. “The event I’m hosting is merely an attempt to ensure permit holders are aware of their responsibilities.”

Rigby will host a free concealed carry seminar on Thursday, May 7, from 6:30 to 8 p.m. at the Cresson Township Volunteer Fire Company, 223 Ashcroft Ave., Cresson. Advanced registration is appreciated and may be done by calling Rigby’s Cresson office at 814-886-1055, his Ferndale office at 814-536-9818, or his Somerset County office at 1-814-509-6942.

“The seminar is designed for existing permit holders, as well as anyone who is considering applying for a permit,” added Rigby. “Our only request is that anyone who is considering attending the seminar register in advance.”

Guest speakers for the seminar include Cambria County Sheriff Don Robertson and Cambria County District Attorney Jessica Aurandt. A question-and-answer session will follow their presentations.

Rigby represents the 71st District, which consists of the following municipalities: in Cambria County, the townships of Adams, Allegheny, Chest, Clearfield, Cresson, Dean, Gallitzin, Munster, Portage, Reade, Richland, Stonycreek, Summerhill, Washington and White; and the boroughs of Ashville, Cassandra, Chest Springs, Cresson, Ferndale, Gallitzin, Geistown, Lilly, Loretto, Portage, Sankertown, Scalp Level, South Fork, Tunnelhill and Wilmore; and in Somerset County, the townships of Ogle and Paint, and the boroughs of Paint and Windber.
