Rigby, Local Law Enforcement to Help Replace Illegible License Plates
June 27, 2023
HARRISBURG – Rep. Jim Rigby (R-Cambria/Somerset) and the Cresson Police Department will host a free license plate replacement event on Tuesday, July 11, from 3-6 p.m. at the Cresson Volunteer Fire Company, 223 Ashcroft Ave., Cresson.
“If you have license plates which are faded, peeling, blistered, or have lost their reflectivity, this event is a great free service to begin the replacement process.” Rigby said. “Residents who are not sure whether their plate needs replacing are encouraged to attend the event.”
Anyone with illegible plates will be able to expedite the replacement process at no charge; however, driver’s license and proof of vehicle registration must be provided. You do not need to register in advance in order to attend.
Questions about this or any state government issue should be directed to Rigby’s Cresson office at 814-886-1055, his Ferndale office at 814-536-9818, or his Somerset County office at 1-814-509-6942.
